Project Overview
DPS Skis asked Crux to design and manufacture a collapsible A-frame stand to display multiple skis and ski poles for in-store, tradeshow, and sales reps.

DPS is an innovative ski and ski accessory manufacturer that has been in the industry for almost 20 years. They are proud to be a sustainable manufacturer in the USA of high quality and innovative ski products. They are seeking a ski stand that meets their sustainability requirements while also providing multi-use functionality.

Prototyping
We started with an in-house prototype to verify the design intent and confirm the interaction experience. Having these details established helped us to then move forward with a steel prototype from our domestic manufacturer.
Production
Felt washers with rubber gaskets to hold the skis up straight without damaging
Steel cable keeps the display angle consistent for every set-up
Laser cut logos for a touch of branding
After prototyping, quality checks, and review, we moved forward with a production run of the 4-ski display as well as a smaller 2-ski display.
